Fall Metro Trout

So I'm for sure going to hit square lake in the next couple weeks in hopes of some trout, but I'm wondering if christmas lake would be worth a shot? This lake is a waste of time for any species in the summer, but I'm thinking everything picks up when all the speed boats are gone. Anyone have any experience with october trout out there?

Did you ever make it to Christmas? Used to be a few trout in there. Haven't tried it in at least 3 yrs. Did get a couple of good ones over the years.

I'm not sure of the particular regs, but I am pretty sure the season is closed... Feel free to tell me I'm wrong as I might be.

Nope, never made it to christmas. I liked square lake so much I went there a 2nd time to cap off the trout season.
