Yesterday, wanting to take advantage of the nice day, I headed over to Zippel Bay Resort on LOW to do a little fishing. Had some trouble getting my motor started at the dock but didn't think too much of it because it has always been so dependable. Confident, I headed out and just as I got through the gap to the main part of the lake, my motor quit, never to start again. As I'm sitting there, muttering incantations to the motor gods and thinking about the LONG way I would have to row back, I heard the sound of another outboard motor. This very nice person came over and asked if I was having trouble. He then offered to tow me all the way back to Zippel Bay Resort which he then did. Not only going to a lot of trouble to help a complete stranger but losing a good hour of his own fishing time. When I offered to pay him for his trouble, he just smiled and laughed it off. When I asked him his name, all he said was "Ron". Well Ron, all I can do is reiterate my thanks. It's guys like you that give all fishermen a good name. May the next fish you catch be HUGE!

Keith,

Thanks for sharing your story! It's nice to hear this when it seems as of late all of the posts are people complaining about others!

There are waaaay more decent people out there than not!!!

Thanks Ron for helping Keith out!

RON FOR GOVERNOR OF CALIFORNIA!!!!! grin.gif

Actually, it is nice to hear of someone that's generous enough to give up some of their own time to help another. Something that's heard of not nearly often enough lately.
