Kyle
I rarely see grouse when bow hunting, but come rifle season when the leaves are off I see them all the time. My question is where are they at this time of year? I know they are still in the woods, and I have a dog, so naturally I want to get out there and pound a few...do they roam around in the woods this time of year just like they do after the leaves are gone? What are there patterns? Took my dog out a couple days ago for a few hours and never even heard a bird flush. We were in thick woods with downed trees and limbs and lots of undergrowth. Mainly oak trees but a few popple and birch mixed in. Even tried down in some low spots with heavy grass and alder...nothin. Can someone point me in a direction?
