Winter Storage of Kayaks

Anyone do anything special besides hang it up in the garage for the winter? I just planned on wrapping a tarp around it to try to as much dust out of it as possible, and than just store it on the hanger. Still plan on getting out a time or two before I put it away though.

don't forget to spray fogging oil in the paddle.

I realize it might be a dumb question, but I just wanted to make sure I didn't need to do anything else. I don't want to watch an $800 piece of plastic get ruined over the winter because I didn't do something that I was supposed to. lol

The Sun is the biggest threat. As long as it's out of the elements, I think it's good to go. The tarp will keep it cleaner.
