Okay, so I took the plunge. I'm 30, she's great, and it's time.

We're getting married and having the reception on a boat on the St. Croix out of Hudson WI.

But get this - they actually forbid fishing off of the boat! What are they thinking?! grin.gif

Congrats man smile.gif Just started doing the same thing myself. The ring should be ready next week. Its been 8yrs together for us. Hope it gets here before she figures out whats up. Our son helped pick it out but being 6 Im not sure how long he can keep it quiet.

No fishin!!! That wouldnt go over to good in this family. Our reception will be lake side. Hope they dont mind me slippin off for a hr. or two.

Marriage is a fine institution, if you want to live in an institution the rest of your life!

If you find the right one that let's you fish without nagging, you have a good one. The little woman and I are almost at 15 years, so she is a keeper.

Consultant, I am really sorry for you.........I mean HAPPY (sorry for the typo) grin.gifgrin.gif

Looks like Fishtrap3 and me are on same "line" for last 13 years, and I can guarantee it's all worth it. There will be Ups an Downs, but you will hang on to her.

Congratulations to you and I wish you many years of happiness.

We have been partners for 24 years and are getting married next month. She even asked me if I would like to go pheasant hunting for our honeymoon. smile.gif
We have survived all of the ups and downs as well as the nay sayers. We are both looking forward to spending the rest of our time together.

You're doing the right thing bub. I got three great kids out of my marriage. That made the whole circus worthwhile. Although they took most of my money, I'm looking forward to some grandkids to teach fishing to. And as far as fishing off that boat on the river....Spool on alot of line, use a 1/2 oz. sinker in front of an eight foot snell with a big minnow on the #4 hook. After all, you're paying for it......T
