  1. I was almost expecting a white lawn when I woke up this am. BRRRR! lol
  2. If you have ever used a skid steer loader to stir the coals in the saturday night smart fire you might be from minnesota. If you have ever cut xmas trees up near Fonce you might be from minnesota....
  3. If you know that fee da is the opposite of uff da..
  4. Google eyes were my grandmothers favorite. Plentiful and easier to clean than bullheads. I've ate way more than my share of rockies and their not half bad! Keep a few, clean them up, if their not really wormy give the grubs an exit flick with the tip of your fillet knife and dont tell the wife. Fry them up in some of the cajun style shore lunch and enjoy! No shame in keeping a few rock bass..
  5. Buddie was at the big lots store in fargo ND yesterday, they already have their christmas stuff on display! I'm not sure if I should be exited or what, just seems a little early... Paul
  6. Congrats fisherdog, Enjoy every second you can with little one, they grow up soooo fast its amazing, one day your changing [PoorWordUsage]y diapers, next day their sitting in the boat with ya. Keep your lines wet! Paul
  7. Hey Mike! I'm going to try and make it to the wall sunday, got a cousin there I never got to meet in person, it'll be as close as I'll ever get. I think the wife has some family on the wall as well. 8. Quite a bit of the local restraunt walleyes come off of lake winnipeg in Manitoba. Some are farm raised in shallow warm dirty water, thus the taste isnt what were used to. Another rumor I've heard is an ocean fish called Pollak...
  9. I will never ever ever order walleye in a restraunt again. Once was enough. It tasted like bilge scrapings. Besides I didnt know where it came from. Was it a fish harvested by natives on mille lacs? I dont want my nickel supporting that operation or one like it. Restraunt walleye has nothing over fresh caught fried walleye in my trusty cast iron skillet.. 12. Heres another reason for two bobber stops. Put some noisy clacker type beads on both side of the bobber, cast out, if it doesnt go down in a minute or two rattle those beads , it will attract those neutral fish that need a little coaxing. 14. Good question! I think you have all the right in the world to walk along the edges. I think in minnesota you get a few feet from the normal water level on shore. Someone more informed than me might be able to fill me in on this. but there has to be some leeway for people with boat troubles etc..I know theres alot of property owners out there that think they own land clear down to the center of the lake but its not true. Their docks are sitting in state property. I should go read the laws on this or possibly any trappers reading this? you guys should have this one down pat.. 15. Really? lol never knew that. Its a sturdy little boat. I wish I had a dollar for every walleye that I've put over the side in that thing. I might pressurewash it this spring so more paint peels off, that way it looks even more haggard..Paul ------------------ Paul Rohweller Pine to Prairie Guide Service 218-962-3387 home 701-261-9525 cell [email protected] N.P.A.A. 425 Quality Bait and Tackle, Detroit Lakes Mn www.scenictackle.com North Country Outdoors Radio 99.3 fm http://fishingminnesota.com/pinetoprairie
