Gadgetman
So I bought a 5 year old pontoon that is in really good condition except for the moss on the floor around the edges of the 'toon. I have pressure washed the whole thing and it looked good for a couple of weeks but the green stuffis back again. Is this jus teh way pontoons are or is there a way to get rid of it. the toon is in the water all the time with a cover on it/
vermilionfox
What brand of pontoon is it?Does the fencing have risers to allow water to freely move under the fencing? This is a fairly common problem on pontoon boats, usually being dilligent with keeping it cleaned is all you can do. Because the carpet rolls under an aluminum cap it has a hard time staying dry. Running a box fan under the cover while it sitting, helps with all types of mold and mildew problems. Be careful with using mold removers they will most likely discolor the carpet. Send me an e-mail (my address is in my signature line) and I can send you some links to pontoon boat forums for your enjoyment!
Gadgetman
yes there are spacers between the bottom rail and the carpet, just seems that the air doesnt move much under there. Oh, by the way Vermilion fox, you have mail. Thanks
