mrpike1973
hi i have a 14' starcraft boat the wide style. it is kinda heavy i have a 6 hp moter a little small but better than paddling. with the boat on the trailer the boat over hangs from the end of the bunk about 2 feet is this ok. i had it closer but i have to have the boat backed up to the top of the bunks or i cant get it off. i havent noticed any problems i have a weak gut from a injury and i cant just push it off i just dont want to hurt the boat it seems solid is this ok thanks
AaronM
Can't you just back the trailer in farther?
motley man
I would get a good roller trailer. I can load my 16' boat & motor with just the end of trailer in water. The rear rollers bring boat right in line and a good winch cranks it up.
mrpike1973
i would like to back it in further but i've got my 91 olds full station wagon stuck many times last time was 80 dollers to tow me out. if i have a real good deep landing its not to bad a problem but if the bunks are not close to the water i cant budge it. SimilarIsland
You might try some silicone on the bunks, but be careful.

SimilarIsland
Yep, just be careful when you back down the ramp that your boat doesn't slide off.
