sled59
I was told that transducers can go bad from trailering the boat on rough roads. Is this true?
JohnMickish
I have never heard of it, but they are electronic with crystals in them so I guess it could happen. There must be lots of reasons they go bad, I suppose this could be one of them.
PerchJerker
I agree - possible but unlikely
Northlander
3 years on mine and no issues with it. I trailer mostly on non gravel roads though.
sled59
We trailer mostly on pavement too. Its just that that is what the guy at Cabela's told me. He said that 169 north to Mille Lacs is s rough in spots that he has heard that is a problem. I hope not.
harvey lee
Yes, anything is possible but I have towed mine all over on alot of gravel and rough roads here and there and I have yet to date have an issue with any transducer.I might guess that if ths mounting bolts were not tight and it could bounce around while driving that might cause an issue.
