Well, on thursday i hooked into a real giant. I couldn't land it, though. I had no waders, the water was cold, lots of excuses. I spent the whole weekend excited and disappointed. I had to get out, so today i got 3 of this size, but no sight of the giant

Dang shame such a beautiful fish is also the tastiest of all. Nice photo! I love the blue halos on the red spots along with the contrast of the scarlet and white on the fins.

That is so true. It was my first time eating a brookie earlier this week and I was very impressed. I didn't season it at all, just pan fried in olive oil. I always thought the stocked rainbows i ate tasted a little like dirt, but now...they definitely taste like dirt.

I went out again today to a more secluded spot. I saw probably 50 fish today, but only managed to catch 3 small ones. They would come right up to the rap and then sink down to the bottom and sit there. I tried everything, more twitches, less twitches, straight runs, letting it kinda drift and twitch. Nothing seemed to intice them. No complaints, sometimes the fishing's just a little harder than other times.
