A grousin we will go!

Up by Grand Marais this weekend...spent a total of 45 min. off the beaten path saw 4 grouse. Right on the main roads. That is usually a good sign, although the game warden we talked to didn't seem that possitive about the numbers. Bad reports only keep the fair weather hunters at home. A grousin I will go! The smell of Autumn is in the air! WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!

12 more days!! The excitment is building. Can't wait to get back up to Northern MN for some ruffies.

I'm ready. I've seen quite a few around this year for them supposedly being down. I saw 2 big groups a couple weeks ago on the side of the raod and they still looked pretty small. Hopefully the cool weather will keep up and take care of the bugs. Last year I was hunting the first few days in shorts with lots of bug dope.

Drove some back roads the other day and saw 9 birds 7 in one group. I think it will be a good year.
