lousy weather

just wondering what others experiance is to fishing after lousy weather? its been raining thundering and lightning the evening before and all day. looks to clear up later in day. is it a waste of time to go out that afternoon?

i agree but what effects are present with lousy weather? any advice?

I find the worst time in lousy weather to be when the storm of what ever hits and has been in the area for a while (cloudy). Then I have noticed the fishing to pick back up when the sky clears up and its not storming out any more. I would say the fishing might be slower than it would be tomorrow (if it doesn't storm again) but I don't think it could be all that bad. At least thats what I think.

Never know until you try, but I just talked to Moby1 who's on Medicine right now. Not a single bite. Not even a sunny tap. I don't know if that's his skills or the weather. Sorry for the cheap shot moby

If the opportunity comes along to fish, I go. The weather and all the yeas and naes, dos and don'ts are all pretty general. As long as the thunder and lightning have left the area, I'll fish. Just about every time I fish the fish seem to rewrite the book on fishing 101. You always will find something happening that, according to all of us "specialists", is not supposed to be. Not fishing because a storm has passed can be likened to not driving your car because you might have an accident. Go fishing and enjoy yourself!

whatever the circumstances are....i go fish.....the more you fish under diff times and weather occurances.....the more you learn....you can go out 5 times with the same circumstances....i.e......lousy weather and come up with 5 diff results......any time you fish you have to think ....it's not a waste of time if you learn something.....even if it's only one little thing you can file in your brain under "fishing".....
