student
I picked up a bag or winterizer with weed control from menards. I was told to apply it in the morning when the dew is still on the grass and at the beginning of a three or four day dry period. Is this right? Just double checking the advice. Tom7227
Seems to me that it's the wrong time of the year to put down a weed control. It has to be damp to activate the chemcial while it's on the leaf of the weed. I don't know how you can predict 3-4 days of dry weather this time of the year. LwnmwnMan2
Yes student, those are the right steps to take with bagged weed-n-feed.You want the dew on the ground so the particles stay on the leaf of the plant, rather than falling off. Then when the dew dries, the particle gets 'frozen' to the leaf.As for the 3-4 days of dry weather, that's a roll of the dice pretty much anytime you're trying to use weed-n-feed bagged products.
