Read on a HSOforum that Lester River, Amity, and the streams in Gooseberry park were fishable. Just wondering if anyone has tried recently or in the past and whether they are worth traveling to? May be too late in summer? How is it in the Fall before end of season? Any advice would be GREAT!!! thanks!

any of the streams on the northshore have trout opertunities. i would stick to the upper streches of the streams you mentiond and onward up the shore. there is more cover and the water tends to be cooler. depending on rainfall this time of the year the water is usualy on a lower level so more caution should be taken when approching your spots. it seems like the northshore got a good amount of rainfall this year so maby someone could give you a more current update. go up there and enjoy the area. bring some worms and small spinners and you'll be ok.good luck.

The lester gets a pretty decent run of salmon...which usually gets started in mid september...you'll be shoulder to shoulder with other people though frown Big sucker creek is decent, usually good for a few brookies. And even though it's only a few steps from the hwy and parking lot, it's pretty nice and wild down there.

What's the word on tischer creek? I see it's stocked with brookies and browns. My brother-in-law lives just a few blocks away from hartley park, so I've always thought about getting out there early in the morning. It's pretty small with little to no casting room, so I'm guessing drifting worms is about the only option?
