I have trip to South Dakota and Wyoming and it is coming up in a few weeks. Does anyone have any must ride roads other than the usual Vanocker and Spearfish canyons? We will ride the Beartooth highway and through the Big Horn mountains too. What can I expect in the mountains? I have heard that there can be thunderstorms in the afternoons often. Any advice is welcomed.

thunderstorms, hail storms and snow. Do a good vehicle check, especially brakes.

Snow in the Beartooth Mountains over the weekend may have been the season's first dusting on the highest peaks.

"A few sites got an inch or two at most," said Matt Solum, meteorologist at the National Weather Service office in Billings. "Most of it was above 9,000 feet in the Bighorn Mountains and in Yellowstone park."
