Fox In September?

Hi fellow fishermen! I was just informed by the wife that we are renting a place on the fox river in between Montello and princton. i have never fished here ever and was looking what could I expect to catch? Not a catfish fan but will fish em if necessary, I was looking more for walleyes or bass, and a few panfish for my 4 yr old son to have fun with. I'm not by looking for gps coordinates as I dont have a gps anyway.lol Just a few tips on maybe what to fish for and what works well.. Also how deep is this section of the river? Thanks in advance!

Well, can't say I've ever fished the fox during the fall even though it's 20mins away but I would suspect most fish being caught would be the catfish. There are walleyes that hang in the river yearly, but don't expect to slay them. You'll also see white bass that like mepps spinners, lg/sm bass on cranks along with the occassional pike. Your ave depth will be around 12ft, it ranges from 5ft to 20ft in places. Enjoy your time, it's nice down in that area.
