bike trail

id like to bike from MPLS to Hinkley. but not sure the best route,id like to stay on bike trails most or all of the way if possible? any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Hey Mikey, (sorry, couldn't resist), from Hugo to North Branch their is a paved trail that used to be the old North Star Rail line. I think the MS150 follows it while they are in the area. Might check their site, though, to confirm. Anyway, in my neck of the trail, it's straight, fairly level, decent shape and the blackberries are just starting to get ripe.

North of North Branch, you're probably going to be stuck riding along old highway 61(County Road 30 in Chisago County) to near Hinckley.

The trail that Red Lantern is describing is the Hardwood Creek Trail. It's paved, very good condition and very flat.
