Looking for advice on adding suspension to my wheelhouse

I recently purchased a 12' x 6.5 wheelhouse that does not have any suspension. I've fished out of it for several years and we have never had any problems, as we only go less than 10 miles to the lake. I would like to add suspension so I can go to the hot bites wherever they may be this winter. Should I cut down the leverage bars and add a leaf spring to each side or should I leave the leverage bars alone and add torsion axles to each side?

In my opinion torsion axles are better but with what you already have there I think leaf springs would be a whole lot easier to add.

Judging by what you have torsion bars would be easier.

I'm just a little curious with your setup. From the looks of it the back end of the pivot must be pretty high off the ground when you set it down. Would a few more feet matter? If not let me know and I could figure out a leaf spring setup for you.
