robert1965
not a joke. weather was bad, not catching much put a big spinner on my walleye rod with eight pound test, pretty much just fooling around, first cast she hit, thank god the water depth was only six foot deep or I probably would have never landed her. a local kenora guide we use has a picture of the fish on his web site showing him holding the muskie, I have more pictures of me the one who caught the fish but I cant figure out how to post them, please help. thanks robert

cbrooks
Nice fish. Thank god someone help you post the pictures on here. Looks like you struggle to get a good hold on that beast. Are you getting a replica made?
cbrooks
I still can't beleive how big that fish is. How long did it take you to reel it in? Did you have a large net since you weren't fishing for muskies? Any more to the story. I like the picture of just you trying to hold it, that one cracks me up. Un beleivable. You mine as well retire from musky fishing. You got that master.
robert1965
I had two local seasoned guides tell me that was the biggest muskie caught on the lake in over ten years, how true that is I don't no. I'm just glad she was properly revived and released, the thought of keeping her never crossed my mind. I hope anyone who lands a great fish does the same. Replica in the works
cbrooks
Congratulations Robert. Thats a heck of a feat, to have the biggest fish caught on the best musky destination in the last ten years. I hope who ever does the replica does a good job for ya. Thanks for the release.

Deet
Look at the spots - they are hollow rings, like those of a leopard. I don't know if I've ever seen that before. Congrats on that fish. I wonder if it will grow any bigger or if she's maxed out...?
MuskyBrian
I would say maxed out on the fish....Looks to be a very old fish with declining girth. Nice to see a huge fish come from Canada finally, sick of hearing about vermilion
