Muskie Signs at Tetonka Access's

I am sure MJGrose will be pumped to hear this.......signs are up at all Tetonka access's. Talking to a local CO he was saying there was a lot of hype from the recent discussions about people doing what they could to prevent the growth of the lakes poplation.....never really got too deep into it but basically he made it sound like with the signs posted they have more right or pull to fine "accidental keeps or kills" because with the signs up the knowledge is there for people to know what is what. Not sure how much of that is relavent, but it was good to see them up.

Is there a fishable population in this lake already? As far as I know the DNR just added it to their expantion plans within the past few years. Did they already stock a number of adult fish? I am out of the loop on this one.

The signs are there simply to state that there may be stocking of this lake after fall public hearings with stocking that may begin in fall of 2011. Smeese, evidently you think u know me, whatever. I could care less, but i bet the people that support muskies and stocking new lakes wish u would keep quiet and let the process work itself out. Stirrin the pot, I work with a few like you. A fishable population, have at it.

Just saying what was said by one guy.....who was doing an internship he was saying, so maybe he did not know what was up.....the signs are simply species identification signs, and unless you were looking at something else it said nothing about future possible stocking. When lakes carry enough of the species I would imagine they need to have them up just as an FYI kind of like the Keeper boards with the minimum sizes you always see at the access's..or the invasive species signs....Sorry if I had a little fun razzing ya MJGrose, I mean no harm, stopping by the lake and seeing that made my day, although I do not fish there much it is a great lake regardless of what swims in it.
