bogwalker
Early on in my bear hunting I took my son to a site prepared by a friend who is a guide. My 12 year old son and I climbed up to tree stands that were about 25' up a cedar tree. We watch 5 or 6 bears come in to feed then leave. The last bear looked pretty good. A pine squirrel had taken a strong dislike to this one bear. He would run up the bears back while it was eating. The bear snapped at the squirrel as it chattered jumping on and off the bears back. The next day we decided to take this bear. Again we watched other bears come and go but we were not sure which bear was the one he wanted. I told him to watch for the squirrel. Before long our bear returned and the squirrel came out of nowhere and jumped on the bears back again. My son took the bear using my old 30-30 that I used at his age. The bear weighed in at 225 pounds. My favorite season.
Boar
Cool story, Not much on my end, bear comes in an i kill it or let it go, nothin real unusual at my sites, except one time the crib was opend up bait was gone , an dead mouse was lying on top of the only log lying in the crib, just like something killed it an offered to the mouse gods or something. Not smashed or anything, just dead, lying on top of a log. weired. boar
bogwalker
Boar, I have had cats that kill mice and leave them on the front stairs. One cat killed 2 weasels and brought them home and left them like your mouse. Animal thank you card?
