How to hook rattle reels to a light?

The way I did it was to mount 2 magnets 180 degrees apart from each other on each of your rattle wheels, then get a magnet switch and mount that on the bracket that holds your rattle wheels, the switch needs to be pretty close to the magnets, I'm thinking like 1/16 or 1/8" away. You can buy the switches at Radio shack, either a reed switch or I used one from a window switch for a burglar alarm. You run the positve wire to the light and the neg. goes to one side of the switch, from the other side of the switch you run another wire to the light. You set the rattle wheel so that one of the magnets is on the switch, when the rattle wheel spins, the switch closes and completes the circuit and turns the light on. (Actually mine wasnt hooked up to a light, it turned a buzzer on)

In my house i have 8 of those wood rattles with a normal light switch right above it and at night when its dark out and i want the light holes to go on when i have a bite, I just put a rubber tube ( somthing like small gasline tube) over the switch and it just taps the switch over when a bite occurs. I have a flashing light on my roof, we installed it by runing wire from 8 switches to a middle switch but each wire has to have a dioide on each of the wires from each switch so the power wont feed back to your other lights. then you have a wire from the swich to the flashing becan light. So when i leave my house i flip my swich and walk to my buddies house it works pretty darn good

If u want pics i can post some
