eagle 320

I have an older eagle 320 locator I keep getting fluctuating depth readings on the monitor--it will always read real shallow and then eventually settle on the true depth.....Bad transducer???? Or just time for a new unit??

Check to see if your transducer has the correct angle, also check to see if transducer is pushed in tightly and cord is free of kinks. If those two look look, try a reset of the unit. Finally, if those steps fail it is more than likely the transducer is going bad.

mine also does that when it gets below 40 degrees outside
