Child-rearing avian style

We've been lucky to spend the past few weeks at our cabin and the birds have adjusted to our presence next to the feeders on the deck. Most, including pileated woodpeckers, will land on the feeders less than 6 feet from my chair. However, one evening we were inside the cabin when this pair landed on the railing and Papa fed his young one! I've been trying to find their nest cavity, but no luck on that front!

The pictures were taken through the screen so they're pretty dark -

"Here you go buddy, have a little suet."
