Just got done reading an article in the strib from several weeks ago. Just a reminder to all animal lovers that this organiztion has almost nothing to do with your local Humane Society so don't get fooled into making a donation to them instead of directly donating to your local HS. Research your local HS to make sure that they are not also on the same wavelength as this arguably ecoterrorist group.

I always wondered why we didn't see this type of campaign earlier. Good to see someone doing it!

The media campaign comes from the Center for Consumer Freedom, a Washington-based nonprofit representing the food and beverage industries. It charges that donors to the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) deserve to know that little of their money helps pets back home.

Well that's kind of a "duh" for us outdoors folks. I've always put HSUS in the same category as PETA. Nothin' but radical, misrepresenting nutjobs, if you ask me.

Yah...but the thing is you guys.....we GOTTA get out there and hammer the message home because most people do NOT know what you and I know.

They are a BAD outfit but they have succeeded in their goal of confusing people so badly that nobody knows where to donate now.

You are right, best option is your local organization.
