Where are the walleyes in the St Louis River?

I moved to Duluth a couple years ago & relied on my dad & bro to teach me where the fish are. The only place I have found with shore fishing is along the river, boy scout and up & down from there. Getting a boat later today from my brother and I have no idea where they are. I usually use nightcrawlers floating a bit off the bottom, but that all I have had luck with. So any suggestions on where to go or what to use to spare me from looking like a "stupid little sis" would be great! Thanks
