Eagle 640c

I'm in the market for a new depthfinder and have been rummaging thru old posts and it looks like the Eagle 640c or 480 are right at the top of my list. I've been told to go color, but does a color d.f. really help that much?

I know plenty of you have had good luck with the 480, but has anyone had any experience with a 640c?

Go color if you can it is that much better in my opinion.

I agree with Steve. Color is definately worth it, especially for the GPS functions with the high definition map cards ---- and color makes a big difference in sonar returns too.

Do you guys know if this model is a 480 with color?

Yup, the 640 is the 480 with color. I think the only difference is a higher resolution screen. Probably just due to it being color not gray-scale. Otherwise all the specs are the same.
