Fairy Rock Lake - Manitoba Fly In

Recommended Posts

I have a colleague at work that is heading to Fairy Rock Lake next week for a fly-in trip. Anyone on the forums ever been there? Have any tips for the pike and lake trout. I told the guy to use jigs and twister tails/gulp alive for eyes. Gave him some basic lures to use for pike (silver minnows, daredevils, red eyes, bigger rapalas, etc) I also told him to bring a couple muskie lures along. I'm no help for him and the lakers, but if anyone has pointers I would take any information that is passed along. I gave him a rundown of what I've done well with in the past, but I've never been to this part of Canada. Any info is appreciated, thanks.

Never been to that specific spot either, but the lakers should be in the deeper areas by now. That would require some vertical jigging with those twister tails or spoons. Tell him to look at main lake reefs and fish the deep sides of them for the lakers. You are a good friend to loan him the tackle. grin
