upnorth
Samsung does, but they cost $$$$$$$ and aren't exactly an iPhone.
deadeye
Motorola i1 is the only smartphone I can think of that's waterproof. If it or a version of it was available on Verizon I would own it.The Casio rock and brigade are pretty solid phones too but as mentioned they are not smart.I had the first 3 models of the Casio g'zones and they all went through the ringers and still got it done. I wish they wouldn't have had such hokey software but I guess its a trade off for being able to have it go through the washing machine and still work. deadeye
My pops has the rock and it has served him well so far. He upgraded from the type s and the type s was the first phone to last the full two years.I'm jealous with new stuff so I started with the type v then got the type s and then the boulder. My type v was sweet, I dropped it through the ice in 15 fow was able to hook it and bring it up and when I opened it after taking it off the hook I got a text. It never skipped a beat. I finally decided it was time for a smartphone and got off of that casio bandwagon but if a tough smartphone comes out I'm gonna be on it. LwnmwnMan2
I had both the G'zone, as well as the Rock, but I carry a smartphone for work, I could never get the Casio phones to work with my email and other options the way I wanted. deadeye
I hear ya. I tried to get my emails on my boulder and it was a joke. Its too bad they don't get together a decent smartphone.Motorola should come up with something like a dewalt special edition android toughphone. It would be worth the extra $ for sure. Think of all the contractors, outdoorsmen and clumsy people that would jump on that.
LwnmwnMan2
But then the insurance companies and cell phone companies wouldn't make so much money off of people like me breaking their smart phones about every 4-5 months. It works out now, with 5 lines that every 4-5 months we have a line we can use for an upgrade.
deadeye
Ya I suppose. Good reason to upgrade alot and have a current phone. If they can get some more dough out of you each month why not keep it that way. I figure once a android 4g comes out for verizon I will stop babying my phone. Somehow it has lasted me since February so I figure if it makes it a year I deserve a new one. Otherwise I wouldn't be sad if I got a insurance upgrade once the droid pro comes out .
