You could try taking a pencil eraser and rubbing / polishing the contacts on the back of the card --- maybe even inside your 27c although I doubt if you can get at them. Make sure you blow away all the eraser dust.

Jim's paper idea is a also a good idea to try.

I have same problem w/ X28C HD, have tried everything. it appears that it is the unit itself getting too warm. only happens on warm to hot sunny days. workarounds are diconnecting the unit from the cables and placing it in a cooler for 10 minutes or removing the drivers windshield on my pro-v to get more air moving past the back of the unit's heat sink.. It never blinks out if the windshield is off, no matter how hot it is
