Gift for Avid Kayaker

My brother's got a birthday coming up.. and I'm kind of hard pressed for ideas for him.

He's an avid kayaker, but due to some limitations rents a kayak when he's going kayaking... so a gift would need to be something that could be moved from one kayak to another.

I'd like to keep it under $30... so I'm kind of limited there, but do you have any suggestions?

what kind of kayaking? the short run through the rapids kind or the long touring kind? or both?

Good question... no rapids.. mostly longer / touring kind.

He's got a good kayaking life jacket and a water bladder by the way...

does he camp out of the things? a nice tapered dry bag made to fit in the end of a kayak would set you back just a bit more than $30.

some neoprene paddling gloves would also be around $30.
