fishing glides

What kind of action do you normally fish these? Quick short jerk-baits? Long pulls? Speaking mainly of the hellhounds. Thanks

I mix it up from small twitches to long jerk-baits. The goal is to make it look like a dieing fish. Big fish just have try to eat little fish that look there are not doing so well.

Quick erratic taps to change up the cadence of your retrieve seem to work best on Hellhounds for me.

I mix it up. I'll do a regular medium cadence to make it dance left and right, then work it like a jerk bait for a while. Glide baits make great erratic jerkbaits as well as having gliding action.

Then again, I haven't stuck any skis on glide baits yet, just pike.
