Looking for Guide Inserts

I have 2 St Croix Rods where the black "insert" on the inside of the guide on the tip of the rod has came out. Is there any place you can just buy the insert and not the whole guide? I noticed that one of the guides has a sharp edge on it. Not really what a guy wants even with Power Pro line on the rode. Noticed my line was frayed too late last weekend and donated a nice $8.00 crankbait...

No, you cannot replace guide inserts.

Luckily you broke the tiptops, which are easy to replace as long as you can work a lighter. Call up St. Croix and ask them to send you replacement tiptop guides. They will send you new guides and glue, along with instructions. They may or may not charge you, but it should be pretty reasonable if they do.

If the rod is still under Warranty it'll be free otherwise it's five bucks each for a tip.

Thanks guys! That is kinda what I thought.

Rods are probably 6-8 yrs old now so probably not warrantied.

But 5 bucks a piece is not a bad fix.
