Baxter Inline Marathon

The race is Saturday, June 12th at 7:30 a.m. Registrations are still open. They are also offering a half marathon and an 8k roll. It's a lot of fun and for those that have some trepidation about doing it, sign up for the shorter distances. It's real fun atmosphere. Helmets and wristguards are mandatory.

Did you race? How was it?

I guess you could call it racing. I wasn't much of a threat to anyone out there (as long as they didn't stop abruptly in front of me). The race was great. The rain held off so the course was dry. Seemed to be a good turnout. I heard somewhere of 400 entrants total for the marathon, half marathon and 8K. I hadn't done this race before. As I expected, the staff, volunteers and fellow racers were great to be around. The few races I've been in so far have all been fun.

This Saturday is the Apostle Island race. Hope I do a bit better time wise but it should be a great place to have a race.
