Charging your battery the easy way

Recommended Posts

I am a lazy kind of guy who always forgets(naw just too lazy)to hook up my batteries after a day of fishing.I found this new device called Stay-N-Charge that charges your batteries on the way home from the water or on the way to go fishing. It uses your alternator on your tow vehicle to charge up your bateries. You just hook it up to your tow vehicle and then plug in the wires that are installed on you boat and you've got fresh batteries every time you go fishing. No more draging the cord out of the garage to hook things up.I have used the Stay-N-Charge about half a dozen times now and am realy impressed. The first time I used it I took a battery that I had left in the shed all winter that was dead.It chargeed that battery up from dead to full charge in no time. They claim that you can charge a battery to full in about two hours.I believe that claim becuase I only drove about 15 to 20 miles.I have since been driving to and from the river whick is not a long drive and have had a fully charged battery every time I go fishing.

Actually Dennis,
they charge 3 batteries in less than 2 hours.

It's been my experience that most batteries can be charged from completely dead to full charge in less than 30 minutes (and how many times are your batteries completely dead).

If you have a tow vehicle and batteries that need charging, especially your boat batteries, check out the Stay-N-Charge Sytems that Dennis is talking about.
