gr8icefishinmind
Well the old kawi needs a change of jetting and was wondering if anyone has tackled this on their ride?? Tonight i got all the front plastic off to get at both carbs and was curious as to where i go from there??The kawi runs like a champ from 0-30 then if i keep a steady speed of lets just say 35 and peg the throttle it bogs down and then takes off! Anywhere from 50-65 it runs great again, with no bogging down!! So i am thinking it may need a different main jet installed! You can look below to see the aftermarket stuff i have installed cause it does make a difference! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as i usually have someone else tackle this kind of stuff but thought it would be a good time for me to learn!!! Thanks! Dozer
I would try richer on the main jet and see how that goes, take it from there. Its going to be a trial and error deal till you get it right.
rundrave
do some plug chops and go from there. the color of the plug alone will tell you if your rich or leanas mentioned, trial and error until you get it dialed in
gr8icefishinmind
After ALOT of trial and error.......it took me taking out the dynojet needles and putting the stock ones back in and shimming the needle! Also went with 136 and 140 jets instead of 132 and 136! What a pain in the arse all that was......but the v-twin power is back so i am happy!!
