What a fun week that was!!

After spending many hours and hours on the river this year and continually coming up empty handed, I knew it was just a matter of time until the fish started finding my bait (or at least I hoped).

I'm sure most of the slow fishing had to do with it still being pretty early in the year and water temps, but getting skunked can wear on a fella, so with the recent warm spell, I had a hunch that I should be spending as much time as possible out on the river this past week, and I'm sure glad I did.

It started on Friday with our our annual Cat League and I fished with Jerry and we were able to land a few fish. Then on Sat out with John and Pete and we boated 8 fish. Sunday I hopped in with Gordie and we put a few more fish in the boat. Monday, I decided to take off due to the intense heat and humidity, but back out on Tues with Pete and a few more hungry fish in the boat, and then tonight with Aanderud with a few more in the boat.

Good times and great company!

Great pictures Darren and thanks for taking me out last Friday. There is something really special about the first flat of the year. Much better than seeing a robin. Now it really feels like summer.
