launched the boat sunday, started motor, switched gears and motor kills. Dead. no power anywhere. power trim doesnt even work. electric motor back to access, wondering how im going to load and trailer boat home with motor down. turn on key and diagnostics run, hit trim button and get motor raised. hit start button and two clunks is all i get then dead again. tried switching batteries all that. get it in garage and thinking maybe a short in wire, checked all and couldt find anything obvious. look at harnesses and wasnt about to try to take them apart. except for one harness on the plastic flywheel shroud. unclip it and pull it out, and as i do a small fuse falls in the splash pan. look at it and its good. insert it back into the end of the harness, turn key, hit button and motor pops right off. happy as heck. load the kids back up and out to the lake we go and salvaged the weekend with a good fishing trip. if nothing else a litle fyi to etec owners about this fuse. i never thought of locating it before hand. good to know. i happened to be on calm waters close to access. could have been worse situation. such a simple fix too. could really leave a guy in trouble.
