Banning State Park

Recommended Posts

Was there this past weekend, and yes, the ticks are terrible! A 5 minute walk along the river resulted in about 50 ticks crawling on my legs eek There's a park with some facilities on the river just outside of sandstone. Water was really high, and fishing was uneventful.

Just so you know, ticks seem to be rampant just about everywhere right now. We've got 'em up north near walker and we've got 'em at home in Ramsey/Anoka. We need some hot dry weather and they will die back.

Anything with DEET is supposed to. I think Gander carries a %40 spray. I try not to use it directly on my skin, but I don't hesitate to spray the bill of my cap and my pants down pretty good.
