waterfowler85
Has anyone ever hunted in the state forests around Grand Rapids/Bemidji? What are the best maps for this? Are the PRIM maps any good? The dnr HSOforum and recreational compass does not give too much detail. How can you tell where the boundaries are/where private property is/where you can camp and hunt? I am new to hunting up north so any information would be appreciated. Where i live one can only hunt WMAs and WPAs so i am clueless on state forests and their regulations. BoxMN
PRIM maps are pretty good. Just need to watch for postings, as much land within the forests is still private. I think there are some GoogleEarth KLMs (whatever format..?..) that have many bounadries drawn for public areas, though I can't vouche for the accuracy.
