Where do I get power from underneath dash?

can you get to the accessory side of the key? or on the hot side of the switch, put in a relay and switch to control the power on the radio so it does not stay on all the time. if you have a head light switch you should have power there that you could pull off. I am a believer in the use of a relay to carry the load of the unit. This way you could simply break the ground at the switch to turn on and off the radio and not have to worry about power. just a thought. if you need a drawing let me know i can scan on it and send it to you. Meyer, I have a '99 Coral, which is basically a Cobra 201 with a Fish and Ski cap. On my dash I have an "accessory" switch which controls the auxilliary power. Do you have that switch? If so that is where I would pull the power for your GPS. Unfortunately Cobra is out of business, but there are still discussion forums out there if you are willing to search. Good luck.
