Yahoo and AOL problems

Recommended Posts

I am having problems trying to sign in to my aol and yahoo accounts. I get to the page and it freezes up. Am able to sign in to AOL, then it freezes, tho I did get in one time this morning. Got on Yahoo once yesterday, but froze up before and now today as soon as the site page comes up. I do not have any problems getting on other sites including here. Any ideas of what might be happening? Anyone else have similar problems lately? Thanks

This is frustrating. I deleted all my temporary internet files as well as run a disk cleanup and disk defrag. No help at all. Why would I be able to get all sites except yahoo and my aol mail. I can sign in on aol but as soon as I hear the "You've Got Mail", my computer freezes and I have to ctrl alt-delete. Must be confusing to others too as not much response here. Thanks for any help.

Have you tried a different browser to see if the symptoms changes ? I like Firefox for most of my internet junk but I have Explorer and Google Chrome just in case I have any problems. It sounds weird that the only problem is fetching mail but it may just help in your case.

Here's a dumb question, but I don't know the answer. How do I know which "browser" I'm using. When I first sign on I get the MSN.com page. I have downloaded google chrome in the past to use the maps and I recently downloaded an updated version of Internet Explorer, I think but how do I know which one I'm using and how do I use Google Chrome once I've downloaded it. Also...would it help if I did a systems restore to my computer? Thanks for your help.

I'm confused. How did you get to the Microsoft home page if you didn't open a browser to get there in the first place?
