US Reels

Anyone seen these yet? or tried them.

Reading all the hype rom jimmy Houston and the Hibdons about how far they cast compared to other reels makes me want to check them out. Especially the Hibdon model. Might be more in price range

I know two guys that have used them. One loves them, one hates them... I kind of looked at them too a while back and reviews on them were all over the map. I do know they take a little getting used to with how they handle line. I also know that if you take one apart you'll wonder why the reels cost what they do when they have that many plastic parts.

If you want a larger spool diameter reel, you can look at the Pfleuger Arbor that just came out this season. I'm gradually converting over all my spinning reels to Diawas, and part of the reason is spool diameter relative to the reel size. (Compare the spool diameter on a 2500-series Diawa to a comparable Shimano.)

Obviously no ya or nay vote here since I don't own one...but that's what I know.
