Campground Information Needed

Recommended Posts

I am taking my family camping (with a tent) in August but am unable to find a campground to fit our needs. What we are looking for is a campground on a lake preferably up north somewhere so we can bring our fishing boat so that the kids can fish for some panfish. We would like the campground to have a nice beach area as well for the kids to go swimming. A pool would also be nice but is not a need. The more activities the campground offers for kids is a plus. Let me know if you have any ideas where to go.

Thanks

If Wisconsin is not out of the question there is a nice little campground near Birchwood which is 19 miles NE of Rice Lake. It has a beach, playground, showers, bathrooms, boat landing, electric, and most of the sites are right on the lake. $20.00 per night. One of those little known campgrounds. There are a ton of lakes with in 15 miles and the campground is on the Big Chetac chain. It's owned by the Village of Birchwood and has sites for tent camping or rv's.

Lake Arbutius(sp) in Jackson/Clark county, bring the wheelers/bike too.

Its a great place we go there often for wheeling, but has a boat landing and really nice beach all within the campground.

I would check out Lake Byllsby near Cannon Falls, that seems to be close... laugh

Thanks Rippinlip!!! I think I am going to have to pass on lake Bylsby that time of year. Lake Arbutius sounds good the only problem is I do not have room to haul the Kids 4 wheelers and dirt bikes if I am taking the boat. Unless you are heading there the week you are off on August, because I had to change my vacation time to the same week. Then I could just through there wheelers on with yours... You could take them wheeling with you and me and the wife could have alone time, I think that sounds like a heck of a plan.

Sounds good to me, we will take your kids wheelers there and take them out riding most of the day so you can have alone time, then you get all the kids after we get back so the wife and I get some lone time......

It's a deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
