Grafted Trees

Is there any disadvantages to grafted trees? We were looking for some trees for our yard this weekend and every tree is grafted. I know it's pretty common practice but are there things to look out for when buying grafted trees?

I saw some apple trees last year at a local greenhouse that grew 5 different kinds of apples. I almost bought a couple just for the novelty. It had the different braches grafted on from different apple types. I may get a couple this year.

Its common to graft trees so no.

When buying any tree I'd look out for forks.

Vertical branches yes, forks no.
