Since the season is only a few days away I thought we could post some tips to help other hunters out.

A few years ago I had a tom hang up and would not come in. That night I did some research and one thing I found was to rustle the leaves to sound like a hen feeding. I tried it the next day and the turkeys would gobble to the sound but not come in. A guy from work got a similar tip but instead of leaves he was told to use a plastic bag from a grocery store. Sometimes you are in a field and no leaves are nearby. You just crumple it up in your hands and it sounds like leaves rustling. It is at least worth a try.
