I've seen this topic pop up in the Bass Forum. With Wisconsin's opener only a few weeks a way do you think the pleasant weather will speed up the spawn. On May first do you think the walleyes will be where they were last year or do you think they will be transitioning between the spawining areas in rivers and rocky shores to deeper waters?

The ice went out about two weeks early then average. However the opener is as early as it possibly could be. The walleyes will be done spawning and will most likely be moved out of the spawning areas into areas with food. Early weeds and the first drop off from shallow water are good bets.
