RICE CREEK ANYONE?

Has anyone hit up Rice Creek north of long lake for carp/buffalo? Have they started the run yet?

Looking to get into some rough fish action soon.

I've seen people starting to fish the creek over by mermaids. I don't know if they're catching anything though.

Rice Creek... It has certainly taught alot of young anglers how to fish moving water, myself included. It has also taught any number of other very important lessons. Things like; floating on ice chucks usually results in getting wet and cold. Snapping turtles are much faster than you think they are and yes little ones do bite. Wet logs going over the creek or into the creek are always slippery, no matter what. A hooked carp always powers up-stream, unless the log jam is down stream, then a hooked carp always powers down-stream. Ah yes, the things we learn the hard way.
