MinnKota i-Pilot feedback??

A freind is considering adding this to his new trolling motor. Anyone have personal experience/feedback on the i-Pilot? Is it work the money, reliable, practicle, easy to use? He is a novice fisherman so easy to use it good.

I don't have any personal experience with it yet, but all the feedback I'm hearing is really good --- ie. the i-Pilot does what it's advertised to do. It sounds like even in wind and waves the i-Pilot does a good job of keeping you on track, or keeping you in the anchor-lock location, or maitaining its speed and heading on cruise control, etc. And it is easy to install and use.

Thanks ... just found a great review by Jason Halfen (guide/pro walleye guy). Sounds like an awesome setup and very easy to use. My freind alread purchased the unit with his new trolling motor. Can't wait to help him test it out.

There was one in Rogers Cabelas Bargin Cave just over a week ago. Open box $320. Terrova model. I just couldn't get myself to spend the money, but man I wanted it.
