Elect fence??

Will an electric fence harm a dog?? I've got a little houdini. She's starting to destroy the kennel getting out of it. I was thinking of running a strand of electric fence around the bottom to stop her... just want to make sure it won't hurt her. also, will that charge the whole kennel if I was to touch it??

would an underground fence be an option? depending on the size of the area you have, it could be cost effective. I have 3 lots it works great for our lab. mine was put in by lucky dog out of olivia area. if interested, let me know & i could try & find the phone number for you.

I've got the same problem with my GSP.. I was thinking about running wires around the kennel too.. something like the ones they use to keep cattle in.

No, this is just for the kennel. I have 26 acres and don't want her to not want to cross a line to hunt. I just want to keep her from destroying the kennel panels.

I meant running the wire inside the kennel. Make him think the metal fence his zapping him.
